About

Art has the power to heal, to uplift, and to transform lives. The Work of Art Foundation was created with the belief that every child, regardless of their circumstances, deserves the opportunity to experience that transformation. In hospitals, shelters, and underserved communities, children face challenges that can feel isolating and overwhelming. With our guidance, we provide them with an outlet for self-expression—a space where creativity becomes a source of strength, confidence, and connection.

Onthatile More

Founder

This vision is led by Onthatile More, who grew up in South Africa and combines her artistic talents with a background in psychology. Having witnessed the challenges that many South African children face, she understands the critical need for support and the transformative power of creative outlets. Her work is driven by the belief that providing children with opportunities to create and express themselves can foster both mental and emotional well-being, helping them navigate adversity with hope and strength.

Structured art therapy sessions are led with the compassionate guidance of licensed therapists and dedicated volunteers. Through these programs, we aim to foster emotional healing, cognitive development, and social connection—particularly for children facing developmental delays and trauma. More than just creative activities, our workshops serve as therapeutic lifelines, helping children process their emotions, build confidence, and reclaim a sense of normalcy.

But the true work of art is not just what these children create—it’s what art creates within them. We provide a platform for them to share their creativity with the world, hosting exhibitions where their work is celebrated, their talent is recognized, and their voices are heard. These events instill a sense of pride and accomplishment while also allowing children to contribute to their families and communities. Proceeds from art auctions are reinvested into their well-being and the foundation’s efforts, creating a self-sustaining cycle of creativity and support.

To bring this vision to life, we are actively seeking collaborators—hospitals, orphanages, partners, and donors—who share our belief in the power of art to heal, connect, and uplift. Together, we can create spaces where children don’t just survive, but thrive. Through every brushstroke, sculpture, and story, The Work of Art Foundation is shaping not only beautiful pieces but also stronger, more resilient futures—one child at a time.
